Very central, but still very quiet
I’m not sure if I got an exceptionally good deal, but I think this hotel has great value! It was clean, high standard and really safe hotel just a few blocks away from the central plaza. The narrow street to the central plaza is full of restaurants and souvenir shops and seemed to be safe to walk even late in the evening. Breakfast buffet was great! In the lobby there was always hot and cold water available (they also seemed to have some oxygen…).
Each of the rooms have a unique, local theme. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. An electric heater was provided as well as a hot-water bottle, which was brought to the room in the evening as we were out in the city. This was also the only hotel on my trip in Peru that had a smoke detector in the room. There was only one obvious grievance – the room was really small! It was a bit hard to find a place for luggage so that they wouldn’t be on the way all the time… but I can’t complain, maybe it was just part of the great deal. Maybe they have bigger and more expensive rooms as well?
Oh, and out-of-town taxi drivers may have difficulties to find a proper route to the hotel in the maze of Cusco’s narrow streets…
